Welcome!
We're glad you've chosen our center for your thermography scan.
Whether you're here for a full body scan, a specific region of interest, or a specialized women's health scan, we want to ensure you feel comfortable and informed about the process.
Here’s what you can expect during your visit.
Arrival and Check-In:
When you arrive at our center, you’ll be greeted by our friendly receptionist. They will help you with the check-in process.
Consultation:
After check-in, you’ll have a brief consultation with a certified thermography technician. During this time, you can discuss your health concerns, ask any questions you might have, and learn more about the thermography process. The technician will explain the purpose of your scan and what they will be looking for.
Preparation:
To ensure accurate results, we recommend that you avoid certain activities before your scan:
- Do not use lotions, creams, or oils on your skin on the day of the scan.
- Avoid sun exposure, hot showers, and vigorous exercise for at least 24 hours before the scan.
- If you’re having a breast thermography, avoid wearing a bra for a few hours before your appointment.
Changing and Getting Ready:
You will be taken to a private room where you can change into a gown. For full body or half body scans, you may need to remove your clothing except for underwear. For region of interest scans, you may only need to expose the area being scanned.
The Scanning Process:
- Positioning: You will stand or sit in front of the thermography camera. The technician will guide you on how to position your body to capture the necessary images.
- Temperature Regulation: It’s important for your body to acclimate to the room temperature for accurate readings. You may need to sit quietly for a few minutes before the scan begins.
- Image Capture: The technician will take a series of thermal images. You might be asked to change positions slightly or hold certain poses to get different angles.
Duration:
The entire process, including preparation and scanning, usually takes about 30 minutes, depending on the type of scan you are having.
After the Procedure:
Once the images are captured, you can get dressed. The technician will let you know when you can expect to receive your results. Typically, a detailed report will be sent to you within a few days. You can book a follow-up consultation with one of our physicians to discuss the findings and a treatment plan.
Post-Procedure Care:
There are no specific post-procedure requirements for thermography. You can resume your normal activities immediately after your appointment.
Thank you for choosing our center for your thermography needs. We hope this guide has helped you understand what to expect during your visit. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to ask our staff. We are here to support you and ensure you have a comfortable and informative experience.
